Thank you for making our Journeys Presents “Redneck” Rally for Rocketown our most successful fundraiser ever!  Because of your generosity, we were able to raise over $350,000!!  Bass Pro Shops made sure we had the appropriate atmosphere while The Hummingbirds provided us with some amazing tunes.  And our featured entertainer, Jeff Foxworthy, not only provided some truly gut-busting comedy, he also shared how the work we do here at Rocketown impacts the greater community.

Jeff leads a Bible study every week in his hometown of Atlanta with homeless men who are coming out of addiction and called the work we do at Rocketown as “the front end of what I work with at the back end.”

“We’re called to love on each other.  And what better way to love on somebody than to take somebody that doesn’t feel significant and say, ‘You know what? You are worth something, and you do have gifts’…This is giving human beings significance, and I am proud to be a part of it, if it’s only telling redneck jokes.”

To learn more about how we love kids, demonstrate their value, and help them realize their significance, watch this five-minute video we shared at the fundraiser!

Though we can’t capture the fun and energetic spirit of the evening, here are a few pictures to help give you a glimpse.

Even if you weren’t able to attend, you can still support the kids here at Rocketown.  Click here to make sure these kids continue to have a fun, safe place to go seven days a week where they are loved, encouraged, and valued.
